taking guest post submissions

In just a few short weeks I’m having a baby!

While bubby is tiny and I’m adjusting to life with two littles, I have a few things planned for the Memos – some fresh posts that I’m “saving” to be posted then, some goodies from the archives that will be making an encore performance, and some fabulous guest posts!

If you’d like to be considered as a guest poster, here are a few requirements:

  • An original post related to motherhood, parenting, family, pregnancy, babies, toddlers, or young children. (Not previously published please.)
  • No more than 600-700 words.
  • Include a photo related to your post.
  • A short bio to be included at the end of your post.
  • If you have a blog of your own, please include the link in your bio so that I can point people your direction for more. (Please note: you don’t need to be a “blogger” to be considered as a guest poster.)

Email the above to themommyhoodmemos @ gmail . com and I will get back to you shortly about your post. All posts chosen will not only be published here on the Memos, but also tweeted and linked to on facebook (both my personal page and the Memos fan page).

Dear friends, nesting is in full swing here – trying to take care of some things before baby comes. What sort of posts would you like to see on the Memos in the days to come?

gearing up,

You’ve got be the cutest pregnant lady ever!

I’m sure it will be a crazy adjustment for your family, but I am really looking forward to hearing some tips on how you 3 adjust to life with a new member. And maybe some advice on how you’ve been preparing Levi for a new sibling and sharing mom and dad’s attention.

Good ideas Alicia. Well… I’m looking forward for some tips on how to adjust as well. 🙂 I’m assuming I will be learning as I go! 🙂 And as for preparing Levi, well, he’s still so little so the things we’re doing are very, very basic: we have a couple of story books about mommy being pregnant and then bringing home baby, we point out babies whenever we see them (and talk about them lots), and we just last week bought a little baby doll (a boy one!) that he’s starting to play with and can mimmic us once baby comes. We also plan to have a gift at the hospital for Levi from baby when he comes for his first visit. We’ll see how it goes!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by with your congrats – and I wanted to let you know I’m praying for you as you get closer to your day to meet #2. I have to say, the adjustment from one to two was MUCH easier than I expected – and that’s what I’m praying for you!! Enjoy every minute!
