Meet Micah, my beautiful son

I have so many things I wish I could share right now about having my son, but the words haven’t formed easily; they’re still hovering over the deep, and there’s time. I am grateful and my heart is very, very full.

For now, I’d like to introduce you to our son, Micah Ezekiel.

He was born in the birthing tub at 41 weeks on September 6th weighing a whopping 9.75 pounds. I can hardly believe he fit in my belly and every time I look through the photos of our magical evening I am amazed all over again at the miracle of birth and life and strength and grace that’s unleashed as children are brought into the world. Heaven breaks through, truly.

I’ll share more about our birth story another time, but for now, please consider me on maternity leave. I’m learning to mother a newborn all over again and learning how to lean into the grace we all need for this season. (And it is good.)

In the meantime, if you’d like to follow more closely, you can find me most days on Instagram (@adrielbooker) and several times a week on Facebook.

Much love,
Adriel x

p.s. I have lots of gorgeous birth photos to share when I’m ready, but for now just a little a teaser. These were taken by Lauren + Douglas Photography. Follow my friend Dania on instagram here—she is such a gifted moment-catcher.
