Join me for a cuppa | Waiting and flying

Around the World:

This short, powerful, little post What I Know from In the Details just makes my heart well up.

Mamas, you will love this Mother Letter from one of my new favorite bloggers, Sarah Bessey, where she encourages you to find freedom from the notion that the The Perfect Mother exists. I couldn’t agree more.

This week I’ve read several good posts about enduring the waiting process. (Um, hello God, are you trying to tell me something?) Here are two: Escaping the Rut of Want by Lysa Terkeurst and Waiting for God’s Gifts by Kris.

My highschool friend Amanda (thanks facebook, for reconnecting us) wrote an intelligent letter to Hilary Rosen (a Democratic strategist) about her recent remarks on Anderson Cooper 360 about SAHMs that will leave you laughing… and thinking.

Around the Memos:

Thanks for all of the buzz on twitter and facebook from my post about knowing the goal of your parenting this week. I’m glad it resonated with you. If you missed it, you can read it here: Parenting to Build Relationship, Not Robots.

It’s been a little quiet around here lately. Honestly? That’s because I have nearly 10 posts, all about 90% written… just waiting to be edited. And I keep writing more before I finish editing the other ones… cuz the writing part is too good for my soul… and the ideas don’t stop coming. (Tell me some of you also do this?) I find editing to be the hard part, always battling this it-has-to-be-just-right-so-I’m-not-misunderstood thing in my mind. (At least when I’m writing posts that are “important” to me.) I need a “quiet” space to do that… and—oh surprise—there’s not much quiet in my life at the moment.

Also, I’ve been working behind the scenes to launch this year’s Bloggers for Birth Kits Mothers Day drive. (Are you as exited as I am?) Look for the kick off this week!

Around Click Clink Five:

CC5 is my other blog where I write for five minutes every day on topics from faith to politics, entertainment to travel to… you name it. Oh, and this wee little blog is unfancy and unedited. Stream-of-conscious, baby.

How lucky am I to have captured this brief moment? *sigh* Love.

I LOVE the photo of Levi at the top! And of course all the others in here that I haven’t seen yet, love, love, love them! That said, I’ll go back and read some of your links now. xo

Read every one of those links. You have found, and shared, some amazing writers! Enjoyed and was inspired by each one and teared up over the image that Waiting for God’s Gifts evoked. Thanks Adriel.

PS Got that spammer message this time too, fyi. maybe has something to do with not knowing what URL I should enter?

geeze. i’m not sure about the spam message. i was just getting so much spam (like 80,000 comments in one month!!) that i had to install a new plug-in to create a stronger filter to help deal with it. that’s non-tech techy talk for i’m trying to figure it out. 🙁 thanks for letting me know though.

I have been hearing “wait” a lot lately in my quiet time so I am anxious to check those posts out… Love this round-up! Makes it easy for people like me who are total bloggy slackers, haha

That last photo is so precious!

Checked out the letter to Hilary Rosen. I have only been semi following the controversy there but that is one of my favourite posts about it so far! So thanks for mentioning 🙂

I think I share the same issue’s when it comes to writing posts and actually finishing them. I find I write better when I just let things flow naturally, but lately I’ve been finding myself “trying to hard” to make the posts sound just right and perfect that I end up not finishing them at all.

You really found some great bloggy links. I will have to go back and read them. 🙂
