Look, I know I’m biased. My genius brother-in-law is the brains and talent behind this app.
But seriously? Levi is in love with it. (And he has no idea that he “should” like Ben’s book.)
Danny Dimple Dares to Dream is about a little boy (with a cute Aussie accent!) who is dreaming of becoming a soccer star. It’s a fun, illustrated, interactive story (available for $2.99 for iPads and iPhones) that encourages kids to dream big and follow after the things that they love. (It also has great, non-annoying music. Friends, you know how important that is when your kids want to watch something over and over, right?!)
The way Danny Dimple came about is so inspiring. In Ben’s words:
“As I read my little boy stories every night at bedtime, I discovered that many of them, though fun and imaginative, were at the same time, unrealistic and not achievable for him, so, I started to make stories up about the things he could relate to – about the things he loved.
I became inspired to write a story that I could share with my kids that they can––with hard work, practice, and fun––strive to be all they want to be. Because as a Dad, I want nothing more than for my kids to be all that they can be, given the opportunity.”
Here’s a teaser video so you can see what the book app is like.
I’ve got seven copies of Danny Dimple Dares to Dream to give away. To enter, just leave a comment below, telling me what your son or daughter dreams of achieving when they grow up.

Enter as many times as you’d like for the next five days, leaving a comment here for each entry. I will draw the winners from the comments on this post early next week and announce them on the Mommyhood Memos facebook page.
Dear friends, thanks for helping me to get the word out about this adorable new book app and for helping me support this awesome family – Ben and Koronae Taylor – as they serve kids and families everywhere. Biased or not, I’m convinced you and your kids will really, really like it.
P.S. The app description says that kids 4+ will like it… but I think it should really say kids 2+. I could easily see most kids between 2 or 3 and 8 or 9 loving it.

26 March 2013 at 2:47 pmMy 4 year son tells me that he wants to be a ‘shop owner’ when he grows up. He says that he will sell birthday cakes, toys and chocolate so that his big sister, his dad and myself will visit the shop every day because we love those things!

26 March 2013 at 3:25 pmWell my boys aren’t very verbal right now…they have a language delay. So I’m believing they’re gonna be young men who love and serve God in whatever they do in life. I know God has awesome plans for them.

29 March 2013 at 7:58 amMy 6 year old wants to be a fire fighter and my 4 year old wants to be a police officer…but he has to be a policeman that rides a motorcycle or he doesn’t want to be that. 🙂 The preview of this app looks adorable!!

29 March 2013 at 11:36 amMy son is 21, and used to always tell me he wanted to be in the military. His diabetes prevented him from ever doing that. I now have a beautiful one year old grandson. He’s too young to tell me what he’d like to be when he grows up, but I still think he would love this app. 🙂
